In Sicily, as in all of Italy, we have been told to stay at home. If we do go out we have to carry a self-declaration with us, in case the police stop us.
The only reasons we can go out are for food shopping, medicines, necessity (post office, bank....) and to take out the dog.
Some supermarkets have already experienced empty shelves. When the news came out that we couldn't go out people rushed to the supermarkets. Now however supermarkets and food shops have taken strict measures ... only one person at a time is allowed to go inside, some supermarkets provide disinfectant for the hands and then give customers plastic gloves. The cashiers and staff are wearing masks. Luckily some supermarkets now offer home delivery (at a small price) so that older people and people who can't go out can stock up.
Mothers are a bit stressed out having their kids home all the time, and kids are bored out of their minds being home. They can't have friends over and they themselves cannot go out.
Some schools are offering lessons through Skype, but if the children are small then the parents have to stay close to them, and most parents here don't know how to use Skype. The older kids learn quickly but older people are not used to studying long distance, especially at the beginning.
There are so many things to do at home ... clean the house, read, watch movies on TV, cook.
How is the situation where you are, and what are you doing at home=
